It is a gorgeous, cool, sunny, Wisconsin day. I've been up and at 'em already. Complete vacuum of the house, shook the rugs, stashed the junk laying around and made a tri-color tuna noodle salad and sides for lunch. Kiddies on their way for a day visit. Can't wait to get in some baby and toddler smooches and squeezes, and if I'm lucky, a couple raspberry blows to some bellies. ;>
I had a grandma who taught me a great work ethic, and I looked up to her. She loved us in a restrained sort of way. My other grandmother had 85 grandchildren. By the time it came to me, she barely knew my name. We get what we get, sometimes. My own mother loved my kids with no restraint, and the love they gave back was amazing. I hope I can live up to that role model.
So.... line up, Toad. There are plenty of belly raspberries available. hahahaha
My kids and kid-lets just left and it was a glorious day. I did get in a few raspberries for good show. I just weeded and pulled out more of the garden. Hate to see the growing season coming to an end, but loving the cool weather.

ReplyDeleteKK, I wish I had a Grandma like you. I hardly remember mine. She was gone by the time I was 5, and kinda distant.
