'Tis (or t'is?) the season: A grammar quiz

http://whatis.techtarget.com/quiz/Tis-or-tis-the-season-A-grammar-quiz

I'm posting this one for Ms. Beejay, who loves her grammar police badge. We love her for it, too!

The quiz is a little frustrating, in that you have to keep clicking back and forth for the answers. It is a good one, though, because it explains why the answer is correct.

Since it is almost Christmas, I'll give you a "two-fer" on this blog. This is the webpage where you can copy an emoji and paste into your blog, and it actually works!

I'm hoping your holiday is sweet, healthy, and relaxing!

  1. There is no way to enter the answer? Or I am too tired to figger it out. ;)

  2. Christmas. A total discombobulation of It's true meaning. My youngest daughter DISOWNED me, and her older sister over the argument they are having about which one of them has the upper hand when It comes to treating both of each of they're sons, and I refuse to get involved, and won't take ANY blame for all of these nasty letters back and forth. My Golden woke me In the night with chattering teeth? I believe she Is near the end, after 16 years? I'm not participating In Christmas festivities, for reasons I could probably publish a book, but TRULY hate to hurt my 5 Grandchildren, The other 3 and the parents, are NOT attending either. A VERY sad situation, but I kind of grew up with a similar situation except Holiday's were meant for Alcohol consumption during those years, but at least we went to Mass, willingly or un-willingly? As for the question "TIS" would have been my answer when I was 5 years old. Though Is said to be un-true, that Jesus was born on the 25th, we are stuck with that date, and someone other than a REPUBLICAN should have thought out Christmas Festivities a little better. I BEG you're forgiveness for such a cheery note.

  3. Toad: we can only control how we behave ourselves. We can't take responsibility for how others behave. I'm sorry you find yourself in this position. Hopefully, they will come to their senses.

We are your friends. We are here to listen in good times and in bad. I'm happy you trust us enough to share. I'm sad about your dog's current ill health; however, you have given them so much love and support in their lives, you should have no regrets. They are very lucky dogs and have lived long and happy lives.

You know the commercialism of the holiday always drags me down. Possessions are not the meaning of christmas, nor the meaning of life. We all have too much in comparison to many others. Hang in there, buddy! You will make it though this.
