Open Blog - Monday

Labor Day, the first Monday in September, is a creation of the labor movement and is dedicated to the social and economic achievements of American workers. It constitutes a yearly national tribute to the contributions workers have made to the strength, prosperity, and well-being of our country.

  1. I get to celebrate with laundry because I procrastinated the past two days.

  2. I like this post. Now If I could just go to Douglas Park, for Ice Cream, and Cracker Jack, given FREE to all children that showed up, to honor LABOR. It was a treat for all of my younger years. "Solidarity Forever"

  3. I believe they still have a Labor Day Fest; however, I'm sure it is polluted with nasty politics and hate, (from both sides) not just a pure celebration of the worker and how solidarity brings strength, pride and productivity to the workplace. Our current governor has waged a war on workers under the sham notion of increasing jobs and reducing taxes... neither of which panned out.

  4. Spent the day cutting a tree down and getting attacked by skeeters and flies and who know else. ended with having a fire in the baby fire pit we have.
and there is a skeeter in here stalking me. It will DIE!!

  5. I would love to know where all the mosquitos came from all of a sudden. I didn't even see a mosquito up until Friday. It's a mystery considering all the rain?
