  1. I have to wait an hour, though. Just got back from my regular dental cleaning and they did the waxy fluoride varnish treatment. Have you experienced this? It gunks up your nicely polished and cleaned teeth, but supposedly is good for you, especially as you age and more of the root is exposed. I can't keep my tongue from running over it. She said I can brush it off in a couple of hours.... and you know I will!

  2. This GRINCH went to Walgreens on Monday to buy all the Russell Stover Dark Chocolate covered Coconut candy. BAH HUMBUG, they didn't buy them this year. I was so disappointed. Oh well, that's what I get.

  3. I'm not much of a candy eater. Dark chocolate maybe. Give me ice cream!

  4. My sister-in-law makes her own candy. We get a small box of it each year. It is better than any purchased candy. Dark chocolate is the only way to go, Toad. I like the coconut, but the creams are a dream. :)

  5. I remember my sister Karen, when she was dying from Colon Cancer In Florida, never lost her taste for Chocolate covered Cherries. It was near Christmas, and she was eating box after box of Cherries. I called her one day, and she had eaten 3 boxes. PERHAPS the diet she was on didn't help, but at least she lived and died the way she choose, save for the pain. She has already been gone 6 years.

    1. I can't believe it's been six years, Toad! Wow. But then, Doug's been gone for nine years and today also makes it nine years for my mom. Time just slips by....

    2. It's really odd to me how fast time seems to go after a person dies. My dad has been gone for 45 years, which Is just crazy. My mom 29 years really amazes me the most. I don't understand what makes the difference? NOW MARRIAGE It's been 43 years on PEARL HARBOR day. I would say It feels like at LEAST 100 years. I'll bet you think I'm kidding?

    3. I know the feeling. It also happens to me when I see my kids as grownups. It seems impossible that they are the age that the calendar says. I guess our minds just don't want to let go to those we love.
