Enjoyed this segment on CBS Sunday Morning. It was so cool, I wanted to share with you. There are ways to find joy even during this difficult time of isolation.
My friend, you could not have come up with a better story to post. I alway's enjoyed choirs, and really enjoyed being a part of Park High's Great Choirs of 66,67,68. The first two years we were blessed with Mr. Saetvit. The 3rd year, not so lucky. A horrible teacher. Favorite class by far.
I sang in the 5th grade choir at Mitchell. I had more range and the ability to sing lower than most of the girls in the choir. They gave me the harmony parts to sing. I didn't like it at all, as practicing sounded so weird, and I felt that I was singing the song wrong. If your voice still is holding out, Toad, you could join this choir at their website and be a part of their next performance. It is open to anyone to try.
Nope, Lost my singing voice, when I had my tonsils out at 25. It still makes me angry. I can still sing, but not like before. I too was In choir at Mitchell. Mr. Lilegegrin (sp) was the teacher. Loved It. Got a medal singing duet In Kenosha, about 1965. I was a Tenor at the time.
