No Mini, not at all! I was waiting for the person who asked to keep it going to respond, and there was no response. I thought people were tired of that blog.
It is really hard to know what people want, sometimes. Written word can be so easily misunderstood. I can see some people visiting the new site every day, looking at every single blog, reading the comments, but don't ever, or rarely leave a comment. Not sure what to make of it. The same thing happened at the other site.
I'm so happy you have posted a couple of blogs. This needs to be a group effort to survive. I won't continue if I'm the only one; it becomes a lonely hearts club party. That is also what happened at the other page. It starts to get creepy, like people are looking into your windows, judging you, and the page becomes one-dimensional. Not a good scenario, and definitely not fun for the person who is "hosting" it.
Hello. Apparently I've been quite busy lately and haven't been out. I would have to wonder what I've been doing. Staying out of the heat for once. Now the humidity is back which makes it real fun to go outside. Rain in the forecast for next week, along with the 4th of July weekend. Oh oh.
It's wonderful outside. We picked up (no pun intended) a cheap pick up to help with the move. The guy must have smoked like a chimney. I don't know how I'm going to get rid of that smell. It's REALLY strong. Maybe I will just start smoking again? I have a good story. I have alway's been a beer drinker, but for several years now, I can't drink the stuff because It gives me terrible headaches. Well while thinking about It ONCE AGAIN, I started to think about Miller High Life, which was my real beer of choice forever. While at Walmart the other day, I picked up a 12 pack of Miller Lite. They didn't have the TALL bottles of regular Miller. I drank one, and didn't get the headache. Do you suppose all of these special craft beers have stuff In them that affect my body? I'm gonna go to Kwik Trip, and get a BIG can, or six pack of the non lite.
Try sprinkling baking soda on the fabric vacuum up after it sits for as long as you can let it be, wash everything else with vinegar water and a little dish soap. You can even try to leave a bowl of straight vinegar out for as long as you can (at least overnight and longer if you can). The vertical fabrics you can try to spray with vinegar water.
Sorry most of my cleaning tips involve vinegar and baking soda.
Was going to stop in and say Happy Midsommar to you all.
Stay cool beejay, you can send some of that warmth here, while I'm on vacation if you can.
Oh and Toad I recommend wine instead of beer, hard never steered me wrong (or has it? Who remembers I'll just take another glass)
Toad: you and SER both had a thing for Miller High Life. I bought a 6 pack as a toast to him. I was surprised at how much I enjoyed it. Who knows why it is different? They do all have different methods of brewing and use slightly different ingredients. Maybe it was just a fluke? Of course, you might have to give it another whirl to see if your good luck continues. ;> When does the move take place? I hope you are getting some help from the family?
I'm a lightweight, but I like both beer and wine... in moderation, of course. Aldi just came out with a new craft beer sampler pack. So far the Amber Ale and Pale Ale are extremely good. Haven't tried the IPA variety, yet. Usually, I'm not overly fond of very hoppy beer.
I miss real beer so much, and enjoyed the different craft beers. If you really think about It, imagine how old the recipe is for Miller. I got to liking It while sitting on Daytona Beach in about 1974. It came In those really tall tapered bottles, and was ICE cold, and so good. I don't care for the Lite beer thing, so the REAL thing is near. Perhaps some of the oddball stuff they put In craft beer Is the problem. Wine also gives me a headache, but seemingly not as severe. Also thank you for all the SMOKE related suggestions. For over 30 years I smoked, and would never have thought the smell would bother me so much.
My comment just disappeared, too! Grrr. Come on, Blogger!
I said... I think former smokers are bothered more by the smell than others. To quit, I had to teach myself to loathe it. I hope you are able to fix the stale smell. It would really bother me, too. I'd try the Febreeze idea. That is very strong stuff. It might take a couple applications. Good luck!
Mornin!
ReplyDeleteDid I kill the story line? :(

ReplyDeleteToad, try using Frebreze?
ReplyDeleteMaybe it's the water in the Lite that helps..
