I'm up early to open the door for the worker that will finish up the work in the kitchen. They damaged our new counter top when they installed it this last March and it's taken this long to get a new one and get it installed. Now we have a fight in front of us with the boss as he has sent us the bill that I'd more than double what they quoted us. It was a bit of a shocker. I'm looking forward to this being done.
Good Luck Why Not. In other news, two people died in Arizona yesterday after going for a hike in the 120 heat. Seriously, who does that? Our heat index is 105 and it is unbearable. Why anyone would want to be out in that is beyond me.
It is going to be warm here, today, too. Nothing that extreme. Weather is nothing to fool with. We don't go for a walk when it is 30 below. Very sad when people die from things that don't have to be.
Good luck with the bill and the boss, Why Not. Did you have the quote in writing? If yes, they need to work with you and be honest. Remodeling and contractors are not fun to deal with. You've done some beautiful work in the house, though, and it will all be worth it in the end. Stay strong and right will win out!
yes we did have the quote in writing, thank goodness for that.. I love my kitchen but cannot stand this kind of stuff.. I'm not the most assertive person around.
