Open Blog - Thursday
The adults have been back getting ready for awhile.... Now let's add the kids and get this show on the road! Remember to leave a little extra time, drive slowly, be patient with new bus drivers and routes, and watch for children who might be distracted.
Down here there are so many school "systems" it's ridiculous. Oklahoma City Schools started the first week of August. Putnam City Schools (still in Oklahoma City) started two weeks later. Do you think that's why schools are struggling' because there are too many school "systems". The first week of school in August brought a/c breakdowns and parents complaining their kids were too hot. Why they start that early is beyond me. Start them in September when the 100 degree heat is gone and let them out in June when it's just starting to get hot.
Many of the schools in Racine have no air conditioning. It was very hot on those first days we were back, especially moving furniture and unpacking boxes, etc. Heck, it is still hot in here despite the change in temperature we recently had. That moisture and heat takes time to leave. So far so good. I'm taking a lunch break and still thinking about where the heck some of my stuff is..... :)

ReplyDeleteKids in SC went back this week. Hot here, but the schools all have a/c.
ReplyDeleteMore has been done on the bathrooms....hopefully, we will see tile next week.
