Careful who you TRUST. I have made hundreds of friends from around the world through my silly farming game. It has been the coolest experience. I have practiced my language skills, expanded to learn more of different languages, and met some truly awesome people.
You do have to use common sense, though. If someone is asking something from you, whether in real life, or over the internet that seems "off," you need to just bail... Expanding our horizons can possibly show us that we are more alike than the media and the war mongers want us think.
I had my first experience with some yahoo who was part of a group here in FL. Told me he was a nudist and people thought he was weird. Kept going on about his junk. I told him I wasn't going down that road and that most naturalists weren't checking out his goods. Some other poor woman may have been inquisitive than I. He was banned! I laughed so hard. Kooks are out there. I had checked out mutual friends before I friended him. Yep, a couple other men knew and a few women. Lived in Charlotte County like most of us. Owned a photography studio. As careful as you are, they sneak through.
