5 years ago we drove 3 hours to pick up a dog we had never met, I just fell in love with her picture online and was hell-bent on getting her! We had lost Minnie at the end of May. It took awhile, but it got too lonely. Searched every day until this little brat popped up. It took a month to go through all the home visits, and inspections and blah blah blah. But we finally set up a date to pick her up. The foster Mom was very iffy on returning calls and emails (bad internet) And I could see why. They lived out in the middle of no where! Down a long dirt road.. but we found them! Pulled up and out the door blasts this sweetie. Jumped in the back seat of the car and just about said.. let's GO! They had like 10 other dogs there. 3 were theirs the others were foster Springers. Signed all the papers and handed over a check and we were on our way home. Been a trip ever since with her! <3
I remember going to the shelter the day we had to put Taffy down. We cried so hard that day. We looked in all the cages and there was no one for us UNTIL that last cage. There he was a sweet cocker, buff in color. When they brought him out to the yard, he bounded to Doug, placed two paws around his neck and literally hugged him. When Doug tried to stand up, the dog came with him. That's how we came to get Cassanova. They know who their family is. They just do.

Such a pretty pup. I miss having a dog sometimes. They give so much more than they ask in return.
