It is all in how you play it....

  1. Good morning. A colleague just came through and wished me a Happy Friday Eve. There appears to be a theme going on..... Still wearing summer weight clothes and still sweltering. It's a jungle in here. (in more ways than one)

  2. WELL, At 5:30 a.m. the two dogs wanted to go out In the pouring rain. I got up, and In my Cargo Pants let the dogs out the back door. Winnie Is no problem, she doesn't prefer to get all wet, but Mobe the Golden loves It. She goes down the four big wooden steps, does her job, and now I have to go down with a cloth type of device used for horses with two big loops that must go under the belly of the horse, to lift her FAT ass up the stairs, because her rear legs don't work too well anymore. I had bare feet, and when I hit the first step, I went down the four steps on my ASS. I stopped my fall with my right hand/wrist, and left hip, and head. Being DANISH, and tough as nails I jumped right up, In terrible pain, and proceeded to yell at Mobe to come In, but she decided to lay down In the wet grass and heavy rain. I just left her, and waited for her to come to the bottom of the steps, and struggled to get her up the stairs, and succeeded. Now I'm sitting In my recliner with a sore hip, and wrist. OH WELL. Dumb move. NO SHOES, NO TRACTION. DUH.

  3. OMG Toad I hope you are okay. Sounds like a nasty fall.

I am having my cataract surgery today at 4:15. That means I can't eat or drink anything starting at 9. That's not going to be easy. Hopefully it will be worth it. No makeup today which should scare everyone.

And happy first day of Fall. 92 here which doesn't sound like fall but temps in the 60's for next week.

  4. Correction: Being Danish and stubborn as hell.... Toad, I hope you are okay. If you continue with pain, you might need to have a head to toe check up. :(

Good luck, Okie. I'll be thinking about you.

  5. OKIE, By now you are probably half healed. They are really good with that surgery now. OH a song comes to mind of course. "I can see clearly now" I may survive this one?

KK, Indeed. I should have had a shot of AAKAVIT when I got In the house, that would have cut the pain. I think I bent my right hand DOWN, and stretched all the muscles, and tendons In my hand, and arm? The pain Is awful. I think If It were broken, I wouldn't be able to move It? The Drivers Side of my ass hurts like hell also. BTW, I'm not stubborn, nope, not me. LOL

  6. I've heard you can still sometimes move things when they are broken. Please be more smart than *danish.* Listen to that little voice that tells you when it is time to have a pro look at it. We certainly don't bounce back up after a fall like we did 10-30 years ago... and the day after the fall is no picnic.
