Open Blog - Tuesday

"Ruby Tuesday" is a song recorded by The Rolling Stones in 1966, released in January 1967. The song, coupled with "Let's Spend the Night Together", was a number-one hit in the United States and reached number three in the United Kingdom. (wikipedia)

What does Ruby Tuesday mean?
It may have been inspired by Linda Keith, who was Keith Richards' girlfriend. Richards said in their book, According to the Rolling Stones: "It was probably written about Linda Keith not being there (laughs). I don't know, she had pissed off somewhere. It was very mournful, very, VERY Ruby Tuesday and it was a Tuesday." (songfacts.com)

  1. It's the week where we welcome fall. Would someone please find it for me? Yesterday the heat index was 107. Lord have mercy it was hot. Plus the humidity was over 70%. Miserable.
Today I start prepping for cataract surgery. Drops in the eye 3 times a day. So, mascara on one eye only. It will be a pretty day. That being said, this surgery isn't cheap. The eye drops alone were $150.

The good news is, I thought my hummingbirds were gone and they are still here. LOVE IT.

  2. I agree about the heat. I'm tired of being too warm. We aren't as hot as you... but the extended forecast is saying it is coming our way. Looking forward to needing a sweater.

I'd welcome the excuse to not put on any mascara. A girl gets tired of that folderol.
