  2. I love tulips and daffodils....I almost saw some daffs this year in SC! Almost. The tulips came and went quickly. Missed the daffodils. I also love Lily of the Valley. I saw some of those. In FL, we only get the tropical stuff for the most part.

  3. My mom had Lily of the Valley. They grew in the small space between the house and the driveway. They were so fragrant. She also had wild mint that came up every year in the same place. Tulips are very pretty, but they are so fleeting. I love roses. I have several of different varieties and colors. I can usually get 2 good blooms per season. My white ones are the only ones still in flower. The rain and wind and hail this morning put a hit on them. I saw a bunch of petals on the ground as I ran between the raindrops.

  5. I don't have the heart to cut the roses, as they die so quickly once cut. I enjoy them on the vine. I have some lovely student paintings all over the walls by my desk to look at, instead. It also covers the scuff marks and holes in the wall... grrrr.

  6. I had Lilies of the Valley in my flower bed in Sturtevant. When I was there visiting the neighbors, the flower beds were overgrown....made me sad.

  7. I had a beautiful raspberry patch at my first house. They were the most bountiful and sweetest berries ever. The new owners ripped it out and put in another parking spot. Made me sad, too.
