Mmmmmm, donuts.
A great way to end the work week.

  1. What an exciting day in store for me. We get to take the trash to the landfill.....then fishing. Hope we catch dinner.

  2. Sounds like fun Beejay. I will do the work thing and then try to finish my spring clean out. I was planning on getting my flower baskets for the back yard tomorrow but it's only going to be in the 60's for a few days with rain so I'll wait.

  3. We are cooling down here for the weekend to the high 70's. I'm in SC for a bit. It is so pretty this time of the year. I'm seeing spring flowers that I haven't seen for years. I found some Lily of the Valley in our flower bed. They grow wild here! My roses are fried. All the rhodies and mountain laurel are beginning to bud out (achoo).

This weekend we have May Days in our little town. We will see what that is about! Mayberry Days was kind of hokey, but in a good way.

Festivals such as this bring you back to the fairs of our childhood. I remember the little carnival that used to come to Oconto Falls. My younger brother got so sick and puked on some bystanders from the top of the Tilt-A-World (not whirl). That was the last ride that babysitter put him on.

If I take any pictures, I will post them on Facebook. I don't think I can post here, can I?

  4. Yes, you can post pictures or anything here, beejay, but we need to set up an author- authorization to your account. I'll send you a link with the email I think you use. Click the link to confirm, you should be ready to go. If you use a different email to connect, just let me know.

I remember the church picnics from up north as a child. We would go with my grandma and grandpa to most of them. I don't remember rides, so much, but the chicken booyah was always a big hit. They would have huge kettles of it steaming. I lived not too far from Bay Beach, so we did the rides there quite frequently.
