Our cable company has decided to go to the Cloud. Because of this, we were told the two tv's we have that aren't connected to a box will need them. Gary said we would be able to get the local channels which would be fine. I get ready in the spare bedroom and always listen to the Today Show. Same in the study. While playing on the computer I can listen to the local news. Not any more. I turned on the tv this morning and knew immediately (by the music) I had been cut off. I don't like it. I guess I'll go pick up some cable boxes which are free now but they will start charging at some point or another.
Other than that, it's pretty darn hot down here. With high humidity and dew point. 98 and steamy. Beat the freezing cold.
Okie, we've had the "boxes" for years. They can be a pain in the butt, too. When they update, they have to run through a cycle that takes forever. Be ready for some hinks and kinks for awhile while you get used to it. Our cable company is merging with another big cable company. I'm sure they have some unwanted surprises up their sleeves, too.
The heat has arrived in Racine. We were close to 90 degrees yesterday. Last night it was still 80 degrees outside with high humidity by the time I went to bed. So glad for the air conditioning. I don't know how I survived without it in my first house.
I'm so sick of this hot, humid weather, I could scream. The BIG storms are driving me nuts, the grass Is growing, and I damn near need an oxygen tank when I get done. Actually I have to do It In stages. I'm contemplating It right now, but It's still all wet from last night. KK, reminds me of the hot weather many years ago, when we would go to A & W on 12th, and get a gallon of Root Beer, and sit on the porch drinking the stuff. It was so good In the 60s. They also had the BEST cheeseburger In town, including Kewpee's.
My dad would take us there once in awhile. I also remember the Dog N Suds. They had some fabulous Root Beer in frosty mugs, too. The good old days.
No screaming, Toad. This warm weather will be gone and kids will be trick or treating in no time. Respect the heat. Stay out of it as much as possible.
Dang, Toad. I was gonna ask you to come cut my grass :) I had an interesting day. Yes, it's late but all this happened in the last couple hours. I started painted over the awful yellow kitchen. of course that gets complicated when you not a professional.. so... four hours later I have one window and one cupboard door done. This paint is so friggin bright and dark. It's hard to cover. Need 2 coats. Think I will be painting until next July! Of course I had music going and danced around quite a bit.. I'm sure the neighbors think I am nuts by now. Then.. I became a plumber! Was taking my contacts out and my eyes were so dry it popped right out.. as I heard it go down the bathroom drain. Lets just say my eyes were not so dry after that. Pipe wench!! (yes I spelled that right) Found a pipe wrench and took that damn thing apart. And woohoo.. out comes my contact! I'm pretty hyped and proud of myself right now.

Toad. I was at Hobby Lobby Saturday. The Christmas decorations are out. Not all of them but they are working on it.
