Still having trouble watching the news. Can't understand how hate can be viewed as productive. All we can really do to fight it is to be kind to one another.
Ditto. Here in FL, it has been horrible. I've been staying off FB in the evenings when people with their alcohol start their ridiculous postings and claim to be Christians. I see signs of McCarthyism and Nazi Germany rolled into one. A very sad world we live in.
Money is tight. Many are suffering. I wonder if this type of aggressive/hateful behavior is cyclical in relation to increased poverty and desperation? The rats eating the other rats. In the history we were taught, people in the great depression were portrayed as being more stoic and hard working, and those who had the means were somewhat kinder in sharing basic needs.
It seems to me that many of those who are in power now are only concerned about biggering their lot in life and to hell with the rest of them. I see a lot of Nazi Germany in their actions with their hatred, and little by little people are accepting and buying into that hate.
